Dean, School of Nursing
Dr. Pamela B. Moreno is an experienced academic and professional registered nurse with a demonstrated history of working in higher education and the healthcare industry. She has dedicated much of her career to educating and mentoring an array of healthcare students in a variety of settings. This work ultimately led her to her passion of assisting students to be successful in their pursuit of higher education.
Some of Dr. Moreno’s roles prior to joining ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ as Dean of the School of Nursing, included serving as the Associate Dean for the Malek School of Health Professions at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. She was also appointed as the inaugural Associate Dean for the First Year Experience during her tenure at Marymount University. She previously served as an Academic Success Liaison for Galen College Nursing and as the Director of Student Affairs for the University of Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Moreno was honored as a South Texas Nurse Imagemaker in 2018 and is a former Fellow of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Leadership for Academic Nursing Program.
Dr. Moreno holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Incarnate Word College, a Master’s degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in Nursing Service Administration and a Ph.D. from the University of Northern Colorado in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership.
