Dr. Elizabeth “Liz” Conklyn,

Trustee

Liz Conklyn served for 35 years in a variety of Human Resource positions. During her 17 years with IBM, she managed HR in manufacturing and development divisions, sales and service divisions, and held multiple headquarter assignments. Among others, these included managing US Employee Compensation and Worldwide Skill Management.

Liz went on to be the Chief Human Resource officer for Mobile Telecommunications, then General Signal, and finally retired after 12 years with USAA as Executive Vice President for Human Resources.

Her academic background includes a BA in Economics from the College of St Elizabeth, followed by MS and Ph.D. degrees in Organizational Behavior from Cornell University. She also taught Organizational Behavior in the MBA program at UNC-Greensboro for 3 years.

Since coming to San Antonio in 1999, Liz has served on the Economic Development Council, the United Way Board, and the Boards of SA Ballet, Impact SA, SA Cancer Council, and Texas Public Radio.

She has served the Episcopal Church in several parishes as a lay reader, vestry member, usher, discernment committee member, and nationally on the Board of the Life Insurance Company of the Church.
