Mr. Theodore Guidry II (Theo) retired in 2019 as a senior member of Valero Energy Corporation’s management team. He was responsible for the risk management function of the largest independent petroleum refiner in the world. He is an exceptional leader with a proven track record of exemplary performance and international success.
Theo achieved significant professional and personal growth at Valero, one of the world’s most admired Fortune 100 companies (#10 on the list) with over $130 billion in revenue. His professional and practical knowledge of risk management, audit management, financial management, strategic planning, and international operations has yielded him one expanded opportunity after another.
Theo’s success was a direct result of two contributing factors in addition to his education and certifications. One is his ability to identify great talent, provide them with the resources needed, and allow them to do what they are gifted and trained to do. The second one is his capacity to observe, listen, learn, and apply those comprehensive and valuable lessons with consistency and integrity.
Educationally, Theo has his MBA from Incarnate Word College, in San Antonio, Texas, and his BBA from The University of Texas, in Austin, Texas. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.
Theo has been happily married to Della Evans Guidry for 41 years. They are proud parents of three adult children and the proud grandparents of four grandchildren. Theo loves his immediate and extended family and is passionate about mentoring and giving back to the community with both time and resources.
